We have a little over 3 months to train for the New Orleans marathon and I'm already pretty

I know we can finish it but it's still scary!
When we signed up, we didn't realize that the start and finish lines are about 4 miles apart?! Boo to that! Who planned that?! So now the question is... where do we stay? How do we get back to our hotel after the race? Will there be a shuttle? Help! Has anyone done this race before? Any advice? I just know that I do not want to walk another 4 miles after doing 26.2 miles for the race!
I'm so excited to do this run with my husband! I remember when we both ran 0.1 miles from our house to our neighbor's mail box and we thought we would hurl or pass out or both. We've come a long way in the last couple of years! We just finished the 3rd half marathon of the Fall and now we get to train for the marathon!
Meanwhile, I have barely scratched the surface of my Christmas shopping list.
I need more decorations!
I need to order Christmas cards!

You go girl...a full marathon!!! Wow!
Hmmm good questions I think I would try to find out because there are lots of nice places to stay in NOLA
Does the race website suggest anything? You might try calling the race director, too...
You are awesome!!!! A full marathon?? Amazing!
I know you're going to do great!!! I was actually hoping to do this one this year because a friend of mine did it last year and had a blast. But sadly no time to train. I can't wait to hear all about it from you!
I did this race last year! The finish lines end in City Park and they have a huge post-race party after. There are busses that take you back to the hotel/parking area. We stayed at a hotel that was like half a mile from the start line and we walked to it. After the race, we had to walk about half a mile back to our hotel. It wasn't too bad at all! If you have any other questions, let me know!
I'm running this race again this year! Good luck with training! :0)
