Let's play the anniversary gift game!

It's hard to believe that my husband and I have been married for almost 5 years! Our anniversary is coming up next week so I'm in search of the perfect gift for him. We try to do traditional gifts as much as possible. Hey, we're pretty traditional... what can I say?

So ladies, do you remember what you got for your husband on each anniversary? Play along and leave me a comment so I can steal see your gift ideas! ;-)

1st WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Traditional Anniversary Gift: Paper
I surprised him with a Doberman puppy who came with "papers". Meet Sheba, the wonder dog!

2nd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Traditional Anniversary Gift: Cotton
We got a big painting for the living room that is on a canvas (cotton-ish).

3rd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Traditional Anniversary Gift: Leather
I got him a leather holster along with a pistol that he had been wanting.

4th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Traditional Anniversary Gift: Flowers or Fruit
I got him a big basket filled with wine (made from fruit) from all of the places we have visited together. He got me a fleur-de-lis necklace. It's a flower. :-)

5th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Traditional Anniversary Gift: Wood
Since he doesn't read my blog, it's safe to brainstorm! I'm really not sure what to get yet... I am thinking of having his running medals framed in a nice wooden shadow box but I don't know if I will have time to get it back by next week! I'm heading to Michael's tonight! One backup idea is a cigar humidor but he doesn't smoke many cigars any more. Running + cigar smoke = not the best combination. Any ideas for wooden gifts?

You are good, those are some great gifts. Does he have any interest in guitar? Those are wooden :)

I think I told you this last year but I got Jared a world map and he marks it with pins everywhere we go...he LOVES it! It could have a wooden fram?!!

http://www.simonandlucy.com has some good gifts. Mostly for women, but she has some dog tag style necklaces and key ring style pieces, as well.
