I should probably begin packing soooon for the big move to Texas. Less than six weeks are left until we leave the great state of Alabama (as Forrest Gump says).
2. Sometimes the bite is worse than the bark.
My 70 lb Doberman looks very scary if the doorbell rings but she will not prevent a chihuahua from biting me while we are running. D*mn little ankle biter was vicious! All 4 pounds of rat dog lunged at me and I have a whelp on my shin to prove it.
3. Friends are precious and the realization that some of us are moving soon makes my heart hurt.
These girls have been such a blessing to me. When we moved to Alabama, I never imagined that I would make lifelong friends in such a short amount of time. There are a few missing from this picture but it is the most recent picture of the majority of "the bookies" book club. These girls are kind, beautiful, intelligent, hilarious, and talented. They will always have a special place in my heart.
4. Love is infinite.
I am constantly amazed at how smart, wonderful, and strong this man is. He graduated on Friday night. He has been in college/med school/residency training for 13 years. He will finally finish his training in a month. I have watched him work so hard through the last 8 years that I have known him and I am so proud of him that my heart could burst. He studies all the time. He sacrifices weekends, holidays, nights, and he is at work in the mornings while the vast majority of us are still sleeping. He has fallen asleep eating breakfast more times than I can count after he has been awake for two days straight. He fell asleep in the drive thru line at a fast food restaurant while waiting for breakfast once. Luckily he kept his foot on the brake. It definitely is not easy to sit back and watch him struggle knowing that there is nothing I can do to share his burden while he is at work. He once slept only 3 hours in a 3 day span. He is tough. I constantly find more and more reasons to be proud of him and love him even more. Congratulations to my better half!

what a sweet tribute to your better half...congrats on the big graduation!!!!
I can't believe that little vicious dog got you....not funny but kinda funny!
It's gotta be hard to leave your good friends, but think of all the good vacations you can share with each other...
Get the boxes out and start packing, you'll feel better once you start! It's that first one that's hard to accomplish!
this post made me cry!!
I am such a procrastinator and know exactly what you mean. I remember waiting until the last possible minute to start packing up our apartment before we moved into our townhouse.
Sometimes those little dogs can be so vicious and the big dogs are like little teddy bears. Geof got bit by our neighbor’s rat terrier over the weekend. He said it was the first time that he was ever bit by a dog. His leg looks like a vampire got him. I hope you’re okay though.
The photo of you and your girlfriends is such a good one and I know that you will make new friends in Texas. You’re so sweet and I just know it won’t be a problem for you ;)
A big and serious congratulations goes out to your husband on his amazing accomplishment. I don’t even know what else to say about that. It sounds like he is a lot stronger than most people I know. Always remember that behind every good man is a good woman and that’s you!
wonderful post ...sorry your dog is a wimp =) Way to go Scott and may you two be blessed with many happy years and may that fella finally get some rest
I Love you Tasha! You have such a beautiful heart! We're all so lucky and I'm going to miss you so much. dang. :[
