So I had a nervous breakdown this morning...

Well, my husband thinks I have completely lost it. He walks into the living room this morning as I am watching this video...

Miranda Lambert's The House that Built Me

and crying while I have my coffee. I must be hormonal stressed. I'm not sure what has gotten into me but every time I hear this song, I ball. The video is SO good and I love Miranda Lambert.

Maybe it's because:

1. I wish I could spend mother's day with my mom. She is my rock, my compass, and my hero.
2. In 5 days we will close on the house we are buying in San Antonio and we have not sold the one in Birmingham. Two mortgage payments will not be fun.
3. I signed the papers last night to have the 2nd house payment taken from our savings account... the emergency fund. My husband will start his new job this summer but we are definitely cutting it close with our finances. Stress.

So I'm trying to remember this for the rest of the day...

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? (Matthew 6: 25-27)

Oh...thinking of you! I cannot even imagine what a stressful time this must be for both of you...with just the housing situation alone. And now with everything else!?!

But you are right to put your trust in God. He will provide exactly what you need at exactly the right time :)

I'm sending good vibes your way, you definitely need them! I'm kind of in the same boat with the husband and I making a big move and we've already written ridiculous amounts of money out of our accounts for moving, security deposits and so on. We are getting to where we are cutting it close ourselves... It's scary and stressful. Add in your MIL and I can totally see myself doing the same thing you are.

Just stay strong and think positive.... :-)

It’s completely understandable that you’re feeling stressed right now and I’m sending you a big hug. I just clicked on the link for this song (because I wasn’t familiar) and I really like it (kind of reminds me of my grandma’s house). Definitely fitting for what you’re going through right now.

I’ll keep positive thoughts and prayers that you sell your house and that the mother-in-law does NOT move to Texas.

Tasha! Don't stress. Pray. I read an article about that song yesterday on Yahoo News and it sounds like a fantastic song. I have yet to listen. I'll be thinking about you and Scott as you make this move!! Just pray!

Thanks so much for the bible verse. I needed to hear that. My husband is a fishing guide in South LA. So far we are ok, but it is a stressful time for us too. So I say this to say, I feel your stress, and I appreciate the blog. He will provide, he always does!

I love that passage of scripture! Here's another one that I think of frequently during times of great stress:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." --Philippians 4:6-7

Hang in there!!
