This week is our 4th wedding anniversary!!! Since it's on Thursday, we'll probably wait until the weekend to celebrate. I can't believe four years have passed since I said "forever" to the most wonderful man I could have ever imagined. It just doesn't seem like we've been married that long! We've been together for 7 years total. I still get butterflies when I see him. His hugs are still the most comforting thing in the world. His kisses still make me feel like I'm floating. He is everything I ever wanted. He still continues to surprise me with the amount of strength that one person can have inside of them. The sound of him laughing has to be the best thing I could ever hear. There is no one else in the world I would rather spend time with than him. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky to find him!
To all the married girls out there, what is your favorite wedding day memory?
Mine was the moment I saw Scott after the church doors were opened and I started walking down the aisle. When those doors opened, I remember seeing a mass of people. Our friends and families were filling up the church pews. The photographer was bombarding me with camera flashes and I was totally overwhelmed. Then, I looked down the aisle and saw Scott. My world went completely, peacefully still. It was like pausing and taking a deep, slow breath of cool air when you have been running in the heat and have forgotten to breathe for a few too many steps. Everything in my world went steady and right when I saw him that moment. He looked so handsome and happy. Our wedding day was perfect and every day since then has been a gift from God. I can't believe it's been 4 years!
I want to get him a perfect anniversary gift but I'm struggling with ideas this year!
Year 4 is supposed to be fruit and flowers... Seriously?! For a guy?!? What the heck can I get him that relates to fruit and flowers?!?
Year 1- Paper. I surprised him with a Doberman puppy who came with "papers" from the breeder. Sheba. The wonder dog.
Year 2- Cotton. We got a beautiful painting for the living room that was on canvas... made of cotton.
Year 3- Leather. I got him a Rossi .357 pistol in a leather holster. He loved his super manly anniversary gift.
Year 4- Fruit and Flowers?!? I have no idea!!!

The best memory from my wedding day was the first dance. Just him and I, husband and wife, not another care in the world. Holding each other and remembering the night thus far. It was perfect.
The perfect gift? That is a tough one. And it has to incorporate fruit and flowers? I'll have to get back to you on that. Good luck.
Fruit and flowers....hmmm. How about a beer sampler? Or like beer of the month? Barley and grains flower, right? :)
Happy anniversary!! What a wonderful thing to still be so head over heels after four years of marriage :)
Hmmm this is tough especially since guys are already so hard to buy for! But your gifts for the first 3 years are awesome!!
Happy 4th Anniversary! The words that you wrote about your husband and the relationship you have were so sweet.
One of my favorite memories from our wedding day was when we first saw each other before the ceremony. It was so personal and we had some time to ourselves before all of the craziness started.
I'll have to think of a good gift. Right now the only thing that comes to mind is some sort of wine since it's made from grapes!
this year is MY 4 year anniversary, too!
I have an idea for fruits and flowers: book an overnight trip somewhere fab and have fruit and flower waiting in the room for your anniversary (and champagne, too!)
I got married last October. Since we got married where the reception was being held, the invites told guests to be there at 2:00, but I had told my husband and JP the ceremony would start at 2:20.
At 2:00 my phone rings...it's hubby asking where I am. I had to remind him I wasn't late, just waiting for all guests to arrive.
It was so cute to know a 45 year old man would be so anxious to get married. He was wearing a grin from ear-to-ear.
About the gift, I like KK's suggestion.
Find a field of wild flowers....make a beautiful picnic basket full of fresh fruit and wine ....blind fold him drive him there and have a romantic picnic ...and for his gift a picture of the 2 off you in the wild flowers ...also write down your four favorite memories since you have been married and remind him how much he makes you happy
Ha! Good luck with that gift! Yikes!
Happy anniversary!! Hope you both have a fabulous celebration!
Happy Anniversary!
The best wedding memory I have is watching Commander flub his vows. Hilarious.
Too bad you guys already went on a cruise! That would go perfect with fruit and flowers...I have some ideas,
1. Do something related to your hooneymoon. It was in Hawaii, right?
2. What about a bed and breakfast? Some place with lots of flowers and with fruits in your breakfast
3. You can drink a good wine to go with good cheese, crackers and fruits. And you can do it at a nice flower field...like a picnic!
4. The last idea is trying finding a brand that has a fruit or flower name; like apple or fruit of the loom and get him a gift from there!
Good luck!
Happy Anniversary!
