Wicked 30th Birthday!

Even though I was hard at work present at work on my birthday, it was a good day. I even got flowers! They were from my dad. How cute is that?!

My husband and I celebrated my 30th birthday by going to see Wicked. It was amazing! It's now tied with Phantom of the Opera for my favorite Broadway play. The story was so creative and it makes me want to read the book. The music was so much fun and I've been singing the "Popular" song in my head for 2 days now.

It's a whole new point of view on the Wizard of Oz story. I always loved that movie when I was young. The play just goes to show you that there are always two sides to every story! The Wicked Witch was so misunderstood! I mean, wouldn't you be hacked off if some little farm girl dropped a house on YOUR sister?!

The weekend will be pretty low key for me. My exhausted husband has to work all weekend except for Saturday... poor guy. One of my four legged babies has a vet appointment on Saturday, she has to get her yearly shots... poor baby. I think she deserves a trip to PetsMart after the visit to the vet as a reward. This is what people without kids do... the dogs get babied whether they want it or not.

We're having my sis-in-law, her husband, and my niece over for dinner Saturday night. I finally get to see my niece walk! I'm so excited! I can't believe she's a year old already.

Happy Weekend to All! I hope your weekend is a little bit Wicked! ;-)

We saw Wicked when I was in NYC and I absolutely loved it too... I was a little bit skeptical because I hated the book, but it was so good and the sets and songs were so awesome! I would see it a million more times!

I am glad you had a good birthday...Your dad is really sweet. I want to go to the play now.....=( I have not been in some time and Houston has a great theater district. Time flies when children are involed...I just brought Tyler home from the hospital like a week ago I swear.

Lol, the dog still gets babied even after you have a kid! Jazzy still gets trips to Petsmart and walks...he's still a spoiled doggie! Glad you enjoyed the play. We will have to see it when (if) it comes here!

I am still jealous! How sweet of your dad too! (Even though he still scares me a little! I still have flashbacks of that night at Jackie's!) I am glad you had a good birthday!
