Christmas dinner menu & "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

My parents will arrive tomorrow evening and then the Christmas feasting will begin! We are doing a non-traditional Christmas meal this year. I love all the holiday food, but I don't think any of us have recovered from Thanksgiving quite yet.

The Christmas Eve menu:
pot roast with carrots and potatoes
croissant rolls
chocolate pie

Christmas day menu: BBQ ordered from the Alabama Grill Billies!
brisket
pulled pork
macaroni salad
potato salad
baked beans
mom's chocolate chip cookies for dessert

What is on your Christmas menu?

My husband and I watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" a couple of nights ago and I had forgotten what a good movie it is. As a kid my favorite part was when Snoopy decorates his dog house.

As an adult, my favorite part is when Linus reads this from the book of Luke:
"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi Tasha! I just started reading your blog because I noticed you follow mine. Your writing is great and I love the different topics you blog about.

Also I noticed you are from Birmingham, which, if you have been following for a while, you know is a city that has special meaning to me! I'd love to talk to you about it someime (jyandbb@gmail.com)!
